Buying that huge American style fridge freezer or the self-build wardrobe unit probably seemed like a great idea at the time.
However, now that you’re moving house you are wondering how you’re going to get it out of the house and onto the removals van.
Fortunately P&M Movers employ cabinet makers and joiners to provide the solution to the problem.
P&M Movers have teams of removals operatives who can move bulky and cumbersome furniture but they are not professional carpenters.
Prior to moving day a member of our quotation team will visit you to plan and assess any items that may need special attention.
Once they have assessed your needs and planed your move they will discuss the dismantling and removal options open to you such as the dismantling of furniture or removing doors from hinges if required.
Some furniture can be dismantled and moved in parts, while other furniture, such as sofas, may need a bit more planning and preparation in order to be moved. Once our team has assessed the situation we will provide you with a dismantling and reassembly quotation taking into account everything that may need removing and replacing in the two locations.
The only thing we must point out is if you had to take out the windows to get the large furniture items into your home, then you will most probably have to remove the window glass to get them in or out of your house.
Obviously this requires careful planning with you and we would have to employ a builder based on the information we have to do this as it is not part of a normal move and our employees are not insured to carry out such work.
We can provide the builders to do this and we have builders who work with us but this is an extra charge which will be quoted for separately if requested by you and the price will depend on the size and location of the windows.
For P&M Movers this is a last resort and we can normally find a work around to the problems we come across.
